Riverside Market Tomato

Solanum lycopersicum

A variety of tomato

A New Zealand heirloom found at a market beside the Hutt River by Wendy Evans, who sent it to Kōanga (a NZ seed bank) in 2009; probably a Kapiti Coast growers' heirloom. An indeterminate tomato with fluted, oxheart-shaped fruit and low-acid, pinkish-red flesh. Needs staking.
