I recently have fallen deeply into a composting and vermiculture rabbithole; having found a few (very cheap) Vevor 1000L compost bins for the majority of my garden waste, and splurged on worm purchases from Bunnings.

Currently, I have a small herd of around 2000 split across a "can o worms" and another set of buckets with holes in them embedded in my main raised garden.

At the moment I'd say the bucket worms are doing better, having layered a lot of leaf matter in.

The down side of this is the need for high quality food scraps to compost - an abundance of cardboard is available; but I've gotten in the habit of being pretty efficient with all of the garden produce.
