PermalinkBTW I'm happy to create github issues if this is preferred?
1) I create some crops when I plant seeds in trays etc. Some time later, they have turned into seedlings. I guess I can edit the entries to change the location from 'containers' to 'garden'. But perhaps a "Plant Out" action would be a good shortcut to offer a list of gardens to plant into. Also maybe record planting out date separately… too much detail?
2) The titles on each planting are generic plant types e.g. bean, tomato etc. I have 4 different bean plantings. I'd like to be able to put in a one-line description that showed up in the lists below the generic name (in a smaller font)
Runner Bean [line break] Scarlet Runner
Runner Bean [line break] Cannelino Runner Kings#3045

i think (1) is covered by Transplant a seeding . I agree we should add that. I thikn also tracking life stages could be useful.
(2) i'm thinking we could add tags. I also can't keep track of which tomato is which. For now i can quickly make the first 100chars of the planting's description visible.
I've been working on scaling by putting data into elastic search – will look at this feature soon.
