Notes
Planted elephant garlic from cloves saved from last year. For the first time, I got a full crop of divided bulbs with generous-sized cloves.
Elephant garlic also throws little things my uncle and I call "bulbules" alongside the bulbs; these can be planted one year to grow a single, onion-like bulb which can then be saved and planted the following year to produce a full-sized divided bulb. I've reserved about 20 bulbules from this year's crop to plant in the autumn.
