Notes

From Wilkinson's - it's supposed to be a columnar tree, and is so far keeping to that, but is rather taller than I'd anticipated, at over 12ft. Although it says not to prune, I think I may have to this autumn.

It hasn't done well yet in fruiting terms - one pear in each of the last two years, despite plenty of blossom, and I can only see one this year.

Had a friend over with her long-handled lopper last autumn, and we cut about the top 6 feet off. Still growing this year (2015), and I may have a few fruit off it, but it's got black leaf spots and ants.
