Its growing habit is very amazing,when you dig them up you see that the potatoes grow on long runners in the ground,like strings of potatoes in a line. They are oblong shaped,with round ends,have purple skin,very shallow eyes,light cream flesh with purple streaking. They have particularly good flavour,and are best boiled,steamed or hangi.
