1 day agoDescription(blank) -> A modern purple wheat bred from a very ancient line. It grows about 80 cm tall, which makes it easy to net, crops heavily and threshes fairly easily from its loose hulls. It is used for sprouted wheat cakes or cooked whole as a rice substitute after long soaking. Direct sow in early spring, shading from birds with 60% shade cloth, and cover the heads as the grain ripens. -
