The Cheongyang chili pepper is a Capsicum annuum cultivar from the Cheongyang region of Korea. The pepper was created by crossing the local Jejudo chilli with Bird's eye chilli. It is a bit sweeter and tangier than the Bird's Eye and has a Scoville rating of 10,000 units. The fruit turns red as it ripens and is 4-5cm long and 1cm in diameter.
