straightneck variety. I forgot to water the seedling the morning I ended up planting it, and then it hit 86ºF! It was wilting when it finally got planted a a deep watering.

The square foot gardening book says straightneck is a vining variety that I can grow vertically on a stake instead of having it spread out, so that's my plan.
